'The REAL truth about SNS Nails!!!'

Published February 21, 2016 in response to the many praises of people speaking highly of these Dip Powder Manicures. There are soooo many negatives about this service. Look at the Safety Material Data Sheets and see if I'm not right.

SNS(Signature Nail Systems) is a dipping system that is sold/adverstise as the new best thing in the nail world. The SNS application process: base coat is applied and then the nail is dipped into a pot of powder and then these 2 steps are repeated 1-2 more times. Its advertised as NOT acrylic or gel and that its non damaging etc. But bottom line is that its pretty much super glue brushed on and then dipped into acrylic powder!

Here's some true facts about SNS from their own MSDS (Safety Material Data Sheets).....

SNS (Signature Nail Systems) Nails Information:

The main ‘glue’ ingredient, Ethyl 2-cyanoacrylate (85-100%) is also the main ingredient of Super glue (>98%)

There’s less than 0.001% Calcium and it’s in the glue that is pasted on.

The vitamin E (and a little calcium) is in the oil used after service AND is only 0.001%

The powder used is essentially Acrylic powder (polymer)

Super Glue ingredients: Ethyl 2-cyanoacrylate (85-100%),

Polymethyl methacrylate (10-30%)

SNS Gel (glue) ingredients:

Ethyl-2-Cyanoacrylate (>98%), Tocopheryl acetate(<0.001%), Calcium pantothenate (<0.001%)
